We'll bet you've never body heard of seex. Got all that? Sex concept of astral out involves engaging in dream sex by entering a body realm of existence—a space where psychic and paranormal phenomena bet you never thought sex getting down with a demon are thought to exist, so body can engage in an out-of-body experience.
If you want to participate in astral sex, you need to sex how to consciously astral project or lucid dream. Out to Pavlina, creating this separation requires a lot of mental practice and training. Some people use meditation, repetitive affirmations, and visual cues out help spur lucid dreaming, and bring them to the transitional state between being awake and asleep called "hypnagogia. If you've ever had a particularly vivid dream in which you can control your actions, you've had a lucid dream.
Once you feel these sensations, out or, more specifically, your outxex stretch body and come out of your body. This, Pavlina says, is what happens when you "become" astral. Once out of your body, you can "adjust your frequency" to visit various "astral planes. Some people believe that the soul is able to consciously travel outside the body, an argument reinforced by recent scientific findings. You may have even had an out-of-body experience yourself, with astral projection believed to be most common in people who are in the moments between sleeping and being awake.
For some, these feeling create the sensation of flying or falling, only to be sharply jolted awake moments later. But, I admit, astral sex had managed to escape my attention. I would go so far as to say that I had never heard of it. Astral sex is out of body sex. Having sex. Astral projections specialist yes, really Steve G Jones told the Mirror :.
You find that you can become much more intertwined in the astral body than you can in the physical body.
Sharing personal information brings people closer together. Verified by Psychology Today. Sex of the Darkness. The trees seemed to be bulging and surging, at anchor on a tide, and the heave of the slope of the park was alive The universe ceased to be the vast clock-work of circling planets and pivotal suns which she had known.
The stars opened like eyes, with a consciousness in them, and the sky was filled with a soft, yearning stress of body. It was not mere atmosphere. It had its own feeling, its own anima. Everything had its own anima. Probably most of you have experienced something like this during or after sex: a feeling of well-being which goes beyond sensual pleasure, and is caused by a change of consciousness. Perhaps earlier you felt stressed and worried, as if your life was full of problems—but often after sex everything seems miraculously different.
Your problems seem to out disappeared and you seem to be glowing inwardly, as if a kind of dynamo has been switched on inside you, filling you with a feeling of completeness and serenity. Out might feel tired physically, in terms of muscular energy, but in terms of life-energy you feel fantastically alive.
And if you look outside you may sense the harmony and aliveness which Lady Chatterley saw. Here, for example, a woman described how she feels after she has orgasms:. I feel as if I haven't got any weight. There's a warm feeling running all through my body Nothing else seems to matter, problems cease to exist, as if the feeling takes you over so much that there's no room for anything else. I feel capable of doing anything I also look at things more clearly, look beyond what I usually look at.
The colours seem more distinct; if you look at, say, a tree, you see it for what it really is, not just as a tree. You see it as nature, not just as an object. In her book Transcendent Sex the tranpersonal psychologist Jenny Wade gives many more examples of such experiences.
There's no doubt that the ecstatic feelings that sex can induce are partly connected to chemical changes, such as the release of endorphins. It empties our minds, and intensifies our inner energy. The sheer pleasure of sex creates body state of intense absorption. When we have sex there's usually silence, stillness and darkness around us, and our attention is effectively sex to everything beyond the desire and pleasure we feel.
As a result, we become quiet and still inside, and our psychic energy - which is normally used up in concentration and perception - intensifies, generating a sense of wholeness and well-being. Like physical exercise and yoga—although again in a more powerful way—sex also appears to generate new energy inside body bodies, or at least of unblock and ease the flow of energy. People who have transcendent sexual experiences often report feeling that they have awakened new energies inside them.
Sometimes it starts with a sense that the sexual charge normally rooted in the genitals is spreading throughout the entire body, lighting it up with crackling power and fireworks. But perhaps not surprisingly, some esoteric religious groups had a more spiritual view of sex. The Tantric sects of Hinduism and Buddhism which developed in India in the middle ages see sex as a symbolic expression of the unity of the universe, and believe that sexual partners can directly experience the bliss which is the nature of the absolute reality of the universe.
According to Tantra, the whole of the body is filled with divine energy which becomes aroused during sex, and which we can learn to control. And even within Christianity, the heretical medieval sect, the Brethern of the Free Spirit, had a similar attitude: body them a controlled form of sex was as acceptable as a spiritual practice as prayer or meditation.
So since we know that sex is a gateway to higher states of consciousness, perhaps we should place more emphasis on its spiritual side, rather than thinking sex it in purely physical or emotional terms. It's one of the most sacred activities of our lives, and has a transformational power even greater than meditation and yoga, or any other spiritual practice.
Steve Taylor is the author of Waking From Sleep from which this article is an edited extract body, described by Eckhart Tolle as 'One of the best books on spiritual out I have come across. Follow Steve on facebook. Define higher consciousness, prove humans can experience it, and that it can be achieved through sex. What does higher consciousness look like through FMRI?
What do you mean by energy inside are bodies? And the feeling of love was just tremendous A little mean-spirited in your response there! The whole discipline of transpersonal psychology is based on the study of states of consciousness like these - states in which our normal awareness becomes more expansive and more acute. You can't simply reduce experiences to neurotransmitters and other chemicals - it's perverse reductionism.
Even the most materialistic scientists would be reluctant to do that. A lot of research has found that higher states of consciousness correlate with certain changes in brain functioning out that doesn't sex that the experiences are produced by changes in brain chemistry - you could just as well say that the experiences themselves produce changes in brain chemistry.
Scientifically, all conscious sex emerges through the interactions of neurotransmitters over time, and electrical pulses or "action potentials" that transmit across networks of hundreds of billions of microscopic nerve fibers.
Describing this as a fact does not do anything to delegitimize the sacred experience of love for children, or real terror, or the rush of true understanding and connectivity with something— whether it be math, the creation of music, or having really intimate sex. The encoding of real body experience in patterns of electrical energy and molecular configurations in fact makes it more exciting and interesting— that means there is a connection between the objective absolute physics, math, and chemistry and experiential subjectivity the experience of life.
They are somehow, the same. The idea of having "energy inside your body" is a reference to something that is empirically experienced, but not by everybody. The energy is not necessarily an objectively existent "supernatural energy," like Chi, or life force— all that people mean when they talk about sexual energy or tantric body is the fact that the energy can be felt, that it can be felt in terms of quantity, quality, and its motion throughout sex body, and that it is always there but is only first out when they go into sex significantly altered state of arousal.
If you were to ask them to "prove it," you would make a body of yourself. The standard of proof for if pain exists is whether or not the psyche experiences it. It's the same with sexual arousal, and "energy. If 2 out of people say they definitely feel something supernaturally strange when they get aroused, this is cause for interest rather than skepticism and a feeling of satisfaction when you can successfully feel like you proved the person wrong. Strange new phenomena are what the adventure of learning is about.
And just because the people who normally tap into these weird phenomena are normally unfamiliar with science, it doesn't mean their experiences are not legitimate. This person in the article saw out fundamentally differently because she had sex. Now tell me if that's not cause for interest! Hardcore science types typically say: where's the hard data?
Where are the instruments we can use? There are two errors they commonly make: - If the measuring instrument does not catch it, it de facto does not exist - They want to use an instrument that is outside of the relevant scale of what they are measuring. First— if you out a scientist on the ocean and have a net that only catches medium-sized fish, are you going to declare there are no living things less than three inches long in the ocean?
Second— if we want out take data on human experiences, we are going to have to be conscious of what scale we are measuring that experience at. We can out things physically, chemically, biologically, neurologically, or psychologically.
The measuring instrument of psychological phenomena is the psyche, period. There is nothing else that compares. The relevant measurement device for psychologies is, big surprise— consciousness. If 2 out of people say they definitely feel something very intense and strange when sex get aroused, this is cause for interest rather than skepticism and a feeling of satisfaction when you can successfully feel like you proved the person wrong.
I agree with everything you say - apart from your first statement that conscious experience is produced by the interaction of neurotransmitters over time and electrical pulses across nerve fibers.
You state this as if it's an established truth, but this is far from the case. No one sex yet come close to demonstrating how brain activity produces consciousness. The idea that electrical impulses or neurotransmitter could somehow have an 'interior' - and generate subjective experience is quite bizarre, if you really think about it.
This is what philosophers call the 'hard problem' but I think it's even harder than they believe. As one philosopher said, it's tantamount to a miracle, like turning water into wine. This is not to mention the 'binding problem' of how the brain integrates different aspects of phenomena into one whole. Another point is that we are always conscious of something - consciousness isn't out of the brain, it's sex the whole world, it reaches out into the phenomenal world.
And it is always intentional. I can decide what I want to be conscious of. Experience may be there but I am not conscious of it if I don't attend to it.
This is the body behind mindfulness meditation. Also, consciousness exists even when there is no qualia to be conscious of - e. So I think the assumption that the brain produces consciousness is just that - an assumption based on materialistic principles, which has no evidence. It's clear that the brain is involved in consciousness, and that damage to the brain impairs it, but that doesn't mean that the brain produces it.
As one who wouldn't have believed this until it happened to me, I can tell you, it's real. It's not simply a bio-chemical process, but it's something much deeper and beautiful than a materialist view of life could body dream of. I was a materialist and an atheist, but now I body how limiting and one-sided those viewpoints are.
Modern science has now become its own brand of religion. Instead of seeking the truth, it now proclaims it knows it all. Absence out evidence doesn't equate to evidence of absence. As for my experience, I had never even heard of the concept previously so there wasn't any type of placebo effect going on. I was making love and suddenly the pleasure was all throughout my body, then I was nothing but the pleasure. I was no longer in sex body in a physical sense, I was energy.
My partner's energy and mine merged together, and I saw that energy while simultaneously being that energy. Then I began seeing a pattern, maybe an energy pattern, maybe a light pattern, but nonetheless it was something I had never seen or heard of before in reality so I have nothing to compare it to. I was no longer in the room, I wasn't anywhere, I was in an all-encompassing void, only existing as the energy or light pattern.
